Again, follow the signs from Route 6, though this light is indicated by a very ambiguous sign that can (and did) easily lead the stranger astray. Not particularly near the coast!! This was originally the Chatham Light North Tower which was relocated to Nauset in 1923.

Peter - this is the Nauset Light that sits at the end of Cable Road, in Eastham, Massachusetts. It sits about 200 feet from the cliff, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The reason it's not directly on the cliff is that the cliff erodes about 3 ft a year and the lighthouse and keepers' house were moved back in 1996. Up cable road a quarter mile are the 3 Sisters Lighthouses, that used to occupy the cliff location. The Nauset Light used to be the north tower of the Chatham Light, which still exists in Chatham, Massachusetts, south of Eastham by about 15 miles.
Many thanks for that RJ. It really is a fantastic lighthouse.
I tried to find the 3 Sisters but had my wife in tow and her instructions to me were that she didn't mind me making small detours to a lighthouse, but I was not to spend hours driving around in circles until I found it!!
All of which means, I'll have to come again. Honest to God, there must be more lighthouses per mile in New England than anywhere else!!
