
Well, it's newer, rather than new, having being built in 1890 when Smeaton's Pier was extended.

Like quite a few Cornish lighthouses, it is octagonal, painted white with a black base. Incidentally, if you ever go to St. Ives, do not eat a Cornish pastie sitting on the sea-front. You'll get mugged by the seagulls.
